With Oliver Hardy feigning illness, the wives leave their husbands behind and depart for Atlantic City. Isabelle Keith was cast as Mrs. Hardy as shown in the domestic version of BE BIG (1931). A couple years earlier she played Mrs. Laurel in PERFECT DAY. Anita Garvin portrayed Stan Laurel's wife here, her last work with the boys until Laurel persuaded her to interrupt happily married life with bandleader Red Stanley in order to come back and take a small part in SWISS MISS (1938). Eyeing this scene is world-wise Charlie Hall as the porter, looking dubious, as well he should be.
